PM attends UNSC session on Kosovo

The UN Security Council will hold a session on Thursday dedicated to the situation in Kosovo, which will be attended by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.

PM attends UNSC session on Kosovo

The gathering will, as announced, also be attended by Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci.

The session of the UN Security Council was originally planned for November 13.

Ban's latest report, submitted on October 31, expressed his concern over the political deadlock in Pristina and urged Kosovo's leaders to intensify efforts to find a solution as soon as possible and continue dialogue with Belgrade.

Ban noted that the present generation of leaders must continue the historic process of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, make peace with the past, take advantage of the opportunities provided by the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the EU and continue structural reforms.

He also congratulated the authorities in Belgrade and Pristina on the progress mde towards a European future and encouraged an early resumption of the high-level dialogue under the auspices of the EU.
