BELGRADE Washington and Brussels insist on Fist Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic's more active involvement in the negotiations on Kosovo, daily Blic has reported. The U.S. has already sent an official invitation to the first deputy prime minister to participate in the final round of the Belgrade-Pristina talks on April 2 in Brussels together with Prime Minister Ivica Dacic. According to Blic, the most important thing for the first deputy PM is not to lead the negotiations but whether if it is possible find a solution. He will therefore discuss his possible participation in the talks with President Tomislav Nikolic and Dacic. “The content of these talks and what can be achieve for the Serbian people in Kosovo is more important to Aleksandar Vucic than who political participants of the negotiations will be,” the daily has learned from his office. The U.S. has contacted the Serbian Presidency and Vučić has been informed that EU High Representative Catherine Ashton would like him to participate in the next round of talks.
