“Intensified talks” to continue next week
Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS)-led coalition reps and Democratic Party (DS) leader Boris Tadić have agreed to intensify the talks and continue them next week.

Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS)-led coalition reps and Democratic Party (DS) leader Boris Tadic have agreed to intensify the talks and continue them next week. However, there are still no concrete results of the negotiations. “Intensified talks” to continue next week SPS leader Ivica Dacic said that they also discussed the goals and the structure of the future government at the Friday meeting. He added that his coalition agreed that the Democrats should get the prime minister’s position and that he would not change his position. SPS deputy leader Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic told B92 that nothing new had been agreed at the meeting but that she hoped that an agreement would be reached soon. “The talks have obviously been intensified and I hope that we will have the parliamentary majority soon,” she stressed. United Serbia (JS) leader Dragan Markovic said on Saturday that the talkswould be continued next week.
