The military is helping solve everyday problems and organize medical check-ups, in a campaign supported by the local administrations in Preševo and Bujanovac.

The Albanians say that since civilian doctors are located too far away, military doctors are examining and treating them.

“For some it is not far to travel 12 kilometers to see a doctor, for others it is. The older people or those who do not have a car have a hard time getting to the doctor’s office, and those who drive people to these locations ask for EUR 10 per trip. We are thankful to the military,” resident Gelili Avdi said.

The military is also bringing drinking water to villages that are cut off from water supplies.

A civilian-military cooperation office has recently opened in Vranje, and the army has been assisting in such actions a lot more frequently recently.
Preševo and Bujanovac mayors Ragmi Mustafa and Nagip Arifi, backed the actions of the Serbian military and that the local government will become involved as well.
