Tadić confirms independence unacceptable

The two met to discuss continued talks on the province’s future and upcoming Contact Group Troika visit to Belgrade.

Tadić said that the discussions with the three envoys will focus on defining the form and manner in which the negotiations between Priština and Belgrade will resume.

According to him, Belgrade was ready for any compromise that does not jeopardize Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The president told reporters after the meeting that the new talks represented a new chance for Serbia, adding however that “hard days are still ahead, and the job not yet done”.
