Serbian economy recorded inflation of 1.2 percent in August, the state statistical office, RZS, said Saturday. The prices of goods and services went up 6.1 percent from December 2006 through August 31 this year, it was also announced. August inflation at 1.2 percent Goods were 1.5 percent more expensive last month that in July, while service prices went up 0.3 percent. The cost of living was on the average three percent higher during the same period, while it increased 6.2 percent compared to December 2006. The difference between the retail prices index and that related to the cost of living stem from different influence that the price rise has had, primarily that of agricultural produce and foodstuffs.

Goods were 1.5 percent more expensive last month that in July, while service prices went up 0.3 percent.

The cost of living was on the average three percent higher during the same period, while it increased 6.2 percent compared to December 2006.

The difference between the retail prices index and that related to the cost of living stem from different influence that the price rise has had, primarily that of agricultural produce and foodstuffs.
