Around EUR 15mn in aid for small and medium-sized companies (MSP) is left in the Italian Government loan program budget.

Italy to loan EUR 15mn to MSPs

Italian representatives invited all entrepreneurs in Serbia to apply for this aid with Banca Intesa, Komercijalna Banka and Unicredit Bank, who have been contracted to facilitate the implementation of the loan program.

More than 100 loan applications were submitted to the support program of the Italian Government to the MSP sector in Serbia, and more than EUR 18mn for 52 projects employing 400 people were approved.

The bulk of the funds were allocated to projects in agriculture, glass and plastics manufacturing, transport, wood processing, the food industry, metal processing, construction.

The loan program worth EUR 33mn is implemented in cooperation with the Serbian Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development and the National Bank of Serbia.
