Farmers to end strike?

Zlatan Đurić, one of the organizers of the protest, said he expected that all the requests would be met.

“The livestock prices are very low. It is important that at this stage, the government buy up livestock, since the farmers face a new struggle: the spring is near and 90 percent of the farmers have no means to plant wheat, not to mention to pay for the fuel, compost etc. Pig fat costs 60-70 dinars per kilo, whilst livestock is worth 50 dinars. It is intolerable”, Đurić said.
