B92 has learned that Serbian police (MUP) officers arrested 13 suspected kidnappers, extortionists and people smugglers over the night. The detained members of the group are also suspected of involvement in arms and drugs trafficking. Police raid nets kidnappers, extortionists Police Director Milorad Veljovic confirmed this afternoon that the arrests were made, and that the suspects were Belgrade and Pancevo residents. Veljovic specified that the operation was carried out by MUP SAJ (Special Anti-Terrorist Unit). Earlier in the day, our source said that those arrested were also wanted in connection with several murders. Officers found weapons, radios, body armor and drugs as they raided the premises. Unofficially, the leader of the crime group has been identified as Dragan Zivkovic. The gang detained last week in Subotica is part of the group arrested last night.

Police Director Milorad Veljović confirmed this afternoon that the arrests were made, and that the suspects were Belgrade and Pančevo residents.Veljović specified that the operation was carried out by MUP SAJ (Special Anti-Terrorist Unit).
