Kosovo police have shut a private artificial insemination clinic in Pristina for alleged illegal activities. Kosovo police say that a Turkish hospital has been shut and five suspects arrested. Elshani added that one person was believed to have died at the clinic because of inadequate treatment. During a search of the premises, police confiscated all medicine that had passed its use-by date, as well as documents that will be used as evidence against the suspects. The KPS said that the hospital director was being sought, though he is thought to be abroad at the moment. The Kosovo Health Law prohibits artificial insemination in private clinics. In early November, police shut down the Medicus clinic in Pristina on suspicion that an illegal kidney transplant had been performed there.
