A top analyst says Radovan Karadzic, like Slobodan Milosevic and Vojislav Seselj, will use his trial for self-glorification. Speaking to B92, Director of the Belgrade Center for Human Rights Vojin Dimitrijevic said that the Hague Tribunal would allow Karadzic to defend himself as that was his right, but that he would use his appearance before the court for propaganda purposes, as Milosevic and Seselj had done before him. "Karadzic to copy Milosevic, Seselj" “He will learn from those that have been the most successful thus far in voicing their beliefs before the Tribunal,“ said Dimitrijevic. “They don’t of course hope, sincerely or otherwise, that they will receive justice there, that the trial will go in their favor, but they believe that they should take advantage of that pedestal not to address the judges, but via TV, their fans and supporters here,“ he explained. “It worked for Slobodan Milosevic, it worked for Vojislav Seselj, and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t work just as well for Karadzic,“ said Dimitrijevic.
