A police officer, identified as C.K., from Kosovoska Mitrovica, was seriously injured in Kraljevo last night. He was assaulted after interrupting an attempted car theft. Doctors say this afternoon that although the officer received serious wounds to his chest and stomach, when shots injured several organs, he is now stable, but still not out of danger. However, doctors say they are optimistic about his chances at this point. The shooter has not yet been identified or detained. The policeman was securing the parameter of the Kosovska Mitrovica police station, now relocated to Kraljevo, when the serious incident took place.
