National Bank of Serbia sells EUR 30 million

The dinar (RSD) will remain steady against the euro on Wednesday after the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) sold EUR 30mn on the interbank foreign exchange market.

National Bank of Serbia sells EUR 30 million

The Serbian currency will drop against the Eurozone currency by 1.5 percent compared to a month ago and by 5.6 percent compared to the same period last year.

Dinar has dropped by 0.5 percent against the dollar, with the indicative exchange rate against the US currency now at RSD 97.3467.

Dinar has dropped against the dollar by 2.1 percent compared to last month and by 13.5 percent compared to last year.

Since the beginning of this year, the NBS has purchased a total of EUR 200 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and sold EUR 1.445 billion - the most recent transaction included - to prevent excessive daily oscillations of the exchange rate.
