Dinar ends five-day slide against euro

The Serbian dinar ended its five-day slide against the euro on Friday, strengthening 0.1 percent, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced.

BELGRADE The Serbian dinar ended its five-day slide against the euro on Friday, strengthening 0.1 percent, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced. The official middle exchange rate is now RSD 117.21670 for one euro. The national currency is 1.6 percent down on this time last month, and 11.2 percent down on the year. Since the beginning of this year, the dinar has weakened 10.7 percent. Since the beginning of 2012, the central bank sold a total of EUR 1.288bn to keep the national currency stable.
