The Utva aircraft factory in Pancevo, north of Belgrade, on Monday presented the prototype of a new Serbian light training and combat airplane. Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac was present at the unveiling of the prototype, and stated that "this will be one of the most important products of our military industry, and its production is to start next year". Military analyst Aleksandar Radic told Beta that there were "many countries in the world which have problems with terrorists and guerrillas and, for this reason, there is demand on the market for a light combat turboprop airplane such as the Kobac".
