Serbian currency weakens against euro

The dinar will on Friday slide against the single European currency by 50 paras, or 0.5 percent. The official middle exchange rate, which will remain valid during the forthcoming weekend, will be RSD 105.7674, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) released on Friday. Serbian currency weakens against euro The Serbian currency will be 3.1 percent down on last month, and 1.5 percent down on last year. In 2011, the dinar hit its yearly high on May 23, when the middle exchange rate was at RSD 96.7007 for one euro, and its yearly low on January 6, with the exchange rate at RSD 106.4947. During 2011, the dinar strengthened against the euro by 0.8 percent in nominal terms. Since the start of 2012, the Serbian currency was the strongest on January 11, when the middle exchange rate was RSD 103.6922 for one euro, and the weakest on January 5, when the middle exchange rate was RSD 105.8694. On Thursday, the indicative dinar-versus-dollar exchange rate stood at RSD 80.337, down by 0.1 percent compared to the previous day.
