The second wave of the global crisis should not be expected to bypass Serbia, Serbian Chamber of Commerce President’s Special Advisor Radmila Milivojevic said. She added that export could be the most affected. Second wave of crisis could affect export, expert says “If the demand at our traditional markets falls, such as Italy, Germany and the CEFTA region, it would adversely affect our export revenues,” Milivojevic told Tanjug. Warning that the crisis in the world can be reflected through a fall in investments in Serbia, which are necessary for the promotion of economic development, Milivojevic explained that investors were becoming very cautious and were not going to rush in any investment venture. In her opinion, improvement of competitiveness of the domestic economy and resolution of other systemic problems are necessary to reduce the negative impact of the second wave of the global crisis on the Serbian economy. Milivojevic thinks that a solution must be found to the problem of insolvency by developing new models of economic growth that would be based on developing the real sector on a new agricultural policy and on adjustment of public expenditure to realistic possibilities.
