Serbia lowers customs for EU goods
The average rate of customs duty for goods imported from the EU has been reduced to 2.53 percent from 8.78 percent.

The average rate of customs duty for goods imported from the EU has been reduced to 2.53 percent from 8.78 percent. This came as a result of the interim trade agreement Serbia had signed with the EU. Serbia lowers customs for EU goods Officials said that negotiations to lower customs for agricultural goods imported to Serbia were "the most complex", that five annexes and two protocols regulate that area, but that the rate went down for those products as well. Previously at 8.5 percent, it now stands at 7.02 percent. Other producst that are included in this decision include passenger and freight vehicles as well as equipment for motorcycles and bicycles. At the same time, refrigerators and deep freezers made in the EU will be imported to Serbia without any customs duty. Other products that saw the rate decrease include cookers, washing machines, television sets and cell phones.
