Former head of the government EU integration office Tanja Miscevic commented on the possibility that the trade agreement with the EU might be unfrozen. The Interim Trade Agreement is part of the SAA, and Serbia has been implementing it unilaterally since the start of 2009. Trade deal "guarantees exports" "If the European Union council of foreign ministers decided today or tomorrow to implement the Interim Trade Agreement with Serbia, Serbia's exporters will receive guarantees that they may continue to export their products tax free to the EU countries," Miscevic, who now teaches at the Faculty of Political Science, told Belgrade daily Politika on Monday. “Serbia would thus have true agreement relations with the Union, instead of a unilateral regime, and the legal relations between a state and the EU is the most important thing,” said she. Besides saying that unblocking of the trade deal would be important for the trade relations, Miscevic underscored the importance of such possible move for the future process of European integrations.
