Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic began consultations with opposition officials regarding Serbia’s economic crisis The first meeting was held with the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) yesterday. The LDP leader said that no specific agreements had been reached in the talks. “What is important, and what we can look at as the result of these talks, is that the government is prepared to share responsibility with parliament. These reforms must be holistic,” Jovanovic said. “They must be more dynamic than in the last few months and I am talking about sectors that are key and sectors that are currently a source of problems for our economy, and are primarily linked to public companies, to incomplete privatizations and, of course, to establishing monopolies,” he said.
