Overall trade between Serbia and Ukraine was USD 279.5mn in the first four months of the year, 78.5 percent up on the same period last year. As reported at a session of the Chamber of Commerce’s (PKS) Section for Ukraine, in the first four months of 2008, Serbia exported goods to Ukraine to the value of USD 78mn, 128 percent up on the same period last year, and imported Ukrainian goods worth USD 201.5mn, a 64.4 percent increase. According to PKS figures, in 2007, Serbia exported goods to Ukraine to the value of USD 134.5mn, 8.6 percent higher than 2006, and imported USD 372mn worth, a 29 percent increase. Ukraine was responsible for 1.52 percent of Serbia’s overall export and 2.05 of overall import in 2007.
