The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) looks set to start a EUR 250mn credit line for the Western Balkans. The bank's website said that the money will go toward supporting micro and small and medium enterprises in the region. EBRD plans to spend EUR 250mn in region This will be considered at the May 12 meeting of the EBRD board of directors, the report said. It also said that the project would finance companies in "Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo". The loans will be made available to the Western Balkans banks and financial institutions that are EBRD partners.
