Canada backs Kosovo plan, won’t rush in

“My country does not make hasty decisions on such complicated issues. All I can say is that we are monitoring the situation carefully,” McDougal told journalists in Priština.

Finland supports Kosovo plan

Deputy Finish ambassador to Serbia Aleksi Vakkuri said his country offered full support for Martti Ahtisaari’s Kosovo status blueprint.

When asked about his country’s reaction to a hypothetical loss of 15 percent of its territory, Vakkuri declined to comment or discuss the details of the Ahtisaari plan, at the same time reiterating full backing for it.

Vakkuri said he was not the right person to offer comments on the possible consequences of a Russian veto in the UN Security Council, but added that such political misunderstandings happened every day, and advised patience awaiting the outcome of events.
