On Monday, Israel issued urgent evacuation warnings for a settlement in Tehran and parts of southern Lebanon, shortly before announcing that it had launched a new wave of attacks in Iran.

Iran strikes again, sirens sound across Israel

After a lull of about seven hours, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) detected a new ballistic missile launch from Iran.

Sirens are sounding across northern Israel amid the Iranian ballistic missile attack, the first in roughly seven hours.

The IDF says it is working to intercept the incoming projectiles.

In southern Israel, an early warning has been issued due to the launch of additional ballistic missiles from Iran.

Israel launches “new waves of strikes” in Iran

On Monday, Israel issued urgent evacuation warnings for a settlement in Tehran and parts of southern Lebanon, shortly before announcing that it had begun a new wave of attacks in Iran.

The Israeli Defense Forces called on residents of the Tehran neighborhood of Evin to evacuate, particularly around the studio complex of the official news network of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In a post on X, a spokesperson stated that Israeli forces would target the Iranian regime’s military infrastructure “in the coming hours.”

“For your safety and well-being, please evacuate the specified area immediately,” the warning read, emphasizing that failure to evacuate “puts your lives at risk.”

 

“Leave the Middle East Immediately”

The U.S. State Department has urged American citizens to “immediately leave” countries across the Middle East “due to serious security risks.”

A post on X by the State Department’s consular affairs official called on U.S. citizens to depart these countries “using available commercial flights” in: Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
