New wave of attacks on Iran begins

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that, on the orders of President Donald Trump, it has launched new attacks on Iran.

A U.S. official confirmed that the strikes began shortly before U.S. Central Command issued a statement on social media, adding that the operation was being carried out at Donald Trump’s direction.

“Under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Central Command forces have begun conducting additional strikes against Iran to further reduce threats to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The United States holds Iran responsible for recent unjustified aggression against commercial vessels and civilian crews freely transiting this vital international waterway,” CENTCOM said in a statement.
