Among the main topics are the overall security situation in Europe and how to make Europe stronger and safer in the current geopolitical context.

The meeting is co-chaired by António Costa, President of the European Council, together with Mette Frederiksen, the Prime Minister of Denmark.

Among the participants are Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, French President Emmanuel Macron, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Romanian President Nicușor Dan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, and many others.

The host country, Denmark, is positioning the gathering as a platform for strengthening Europe in a challenging geopolitical and security climate.

After the plenary session, several roundtable discussions will be held focusing on various aspects of the security situation in Europe, including traditional and hybrid threats, economic security, and migration. President Vučić will take part in the roundtable "Security and Resilience – Traditional and New Threats."

On the sidelines of the gathering, Vučić will meet with numerous European leaders, including the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, the Prime Minister of Portugal, Luís Montenegro, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. He will also hold talks with the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

The gathering serves as a platform for informal political and strategic dialogue, bringing together European heads of state or government along with leaders of key European and international institutions. The aim of the meeting is to promote political dialogue and cooperation, as well as to strengthen security, stability, and prosperity on the European continent.

The European Political Community seeks to foster political dialogue and cooperation to address issues of common interest while enhancing the security, stability, and prosperity of the continent.

This platform for political coordination does not replace any existing organization, structure, or process, nor does it aim to create new ones at this stage. The European Political Community has so far convened six times, with the next meetings scheduled to be held in Armenia and Ireland.

Notably, the meeting of the European Political Community takes place a day after the informal meeting of the European Council.
