He first reflected on his meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, as well as on the meeting with Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro.

“The meeting with Merz has just ended, we talked about all the key topics, from Serbia’s European path to bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Germany. I expressed my great gratitude to the German investors — more than 3,200 of them work in companies that have come from Germany. We discussed how to improve our relations and the level of trust,” Vučić said.

“I attended the conference organized by Macron and Meloni against drug trafficking. There we learned some incredible details. We discussed the financial effects and the health of people. As all of Europe, we must respond to this jointly,” he added.

He then announced a bilateral meeting with Mark Rutte.

“This is a very important bilateral meeting, where we will discuss Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the situation in the region,” he said, adding that some other significant leaders also requested their own bilaterals, but noted that he was “not sure he will have the time to hold all of them.”

He went on to say that the main topic of the summit itself was the situation in Ukraine, while “in the corridors” of the summit, Gaza was also being discussed.

“President Zelensky specifically criticized Hungary. All of their focus is on Ukraine, but we must look at how to solve our own problems,” Vučić added.

“We will face many problems from October 8–9, and we must think about how to solve everything,” Vučić emphasized.

He also commented on the domestic political scene, focusing in particular on Srdjan Milivojević.

“Everyone already knows their revolution has failed. As for those people who go abroad to attack their own country, that speaks for itself. My policy will remain a policy of peace and stability,” Vučić said.

Finally, he once again touched on the case of the FDU student who was detained by Israelis.

“They did not ask the state when they went where they went. It was clear to them what they were getting into. Then we hear those who think differently asking for help,” Vučić concluded.
