Serbian woman killed in Germany; Details of the crime revealed

This otherwise peaceful resting place for hikers and passers-by has now become a crime scene. The mourners left candles and a rose on the table, because it was there that the driver found the woman's body five days ago.

We are talking about 28-year-old Vana, a citizen of Germany and Serbia, who lived in Hermeskeil. The police confirmed that she was killed by a gunshot. The suspect for her murder is 34-year-old Dennis, also from Hermeskeil, who was arrested and is in pre-trial detention on suspicion of murder.

What exactly happened between the victim and the 34-year-old fellow painter has yet to be determined by the investigation. What is known so far is that the woman was most likely killed last Wednesday.

Investigators believe this is a closely related crime

Given that the suspect, according to information from the German media, possessed several weapons, a special police team (SEK) raided his place of residence in Wadern to detain him. Investigators believe it was a crime of passion, that is, violence in a close relationship.

According to unofficial information, Dennis M. has a family, and his wife gave birth to a son just a few weeks ago. There is speculation among the locals how close he actually was to the murdered woman.

Residents of the town are shaken

The inhabitants of Hermeskeil and Wadern are deeply shaken.

"We cannot understand what happened," Gerhard Lauer (85), president of the local shooting club "Gut Schuss" from Gehweiler, told Bild.

"I know the suspect. We are all very shaken," he added.

Lauer emphasized that Dennis M. is not a member of their shooting club, but only his father.

"I can't explain to myself where he got the weapon used to commit the murder," he said. The police have not yet announced how Dennis M. got the weapon, and it is not known whether he possessed it legally.
