Vučić: The Prime Minister-designate is Djuro Macut

On the new government

"My recommendation to the Prime Minister is to choose people who want to fight and push the country forward. Let's return Serbia to the winner's podium," said Vučić.

Prime Minister-designate on the formation of a new government

Vučić shared that prof. Dr. Djuro Macut is proposed as Prime Minister-designate. Read his biography in a separate news item.

"I make a decision on the proposal of the Prime Minister-designate of the Republic of Serbia.

Point 1. I propose to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Professor Dr. Djuro Macut as a candidate for the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia.

Point 2. I submit the decision to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

Point 3. This decision enters into force on the day of publication in the official gazette of the Republic of Serbia.

Reasoning. I believe that Professor Dr. Djuro Macut possesses the professional and personal qualities, dedication and expertise to perform the office of Prime Minister, and he assured me that can ensure the establishment of the government. The new Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia will continue to implement programs aimed at raising the standard of living of all citizens, projects in the fields of health, education, science and technology, development of infrastructure, ecology, energy, agriculture, tourism, as well as in other areas of importance for the future of Serbia and its progress on the European path, while preserving and further improving traditionally good relations and cooperation with friendly countries in the world. Before the prime minister is the task of realizing the specialized world exhibition EXPO 27 Belgrade, which will largely represent the investment basis in the mandate of the new government," said Vučić.

He says he hasn't heard a single bad word about Macut.

"He is a wonderful man, of incredible courage, enormous knowledge, reputation. He will only increase the reputation of our country. Every citizen of our country will be proud. I think he will succeed in doing many important things for our country," Vučić said.
