PM receives holiday greetings from foreign leaders

Many foreign leaders on Thursday sent New Year and Christmas greetings to Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Tanjug is reporting.

PM receives holiday greetings from foreign leaders

In his message, Xi noted he had a pleasant and substantive conversation with Vucic in Beijing this year, and added:

"I was deeply touched by your love and sincere friendship of the Serbian people toward the Chinese people. Serbia and China always support each other on issues of essential interest and vital importance, and so it will continue. I am ready to visit Serbia when both sides agree."

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that 2015 was marked by a dynamic development of relations between Russia and Serbia.

"Your visit to Moscow in October as a significant event, when important agreements on development of bilateral cooperation were reached. I hope for our continued work together on further strengthening of the multi-faceted partnership between our countries. I will accept with pleasure your invitation to visit Serbia in 2016," said Medvedev's message.

Vucic also received greetings from Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Emir of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Incoming Swiss President Johann Schneider-Ammann, South Korean President Park Geun-hye, Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, as well as European Council President Donald Tusk and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, were also among the many officials who sent their greetings.
