Latest forecast released: Snow in Serbia starting from this date

On Saturday morning and before noon, fog and low cloud cover are expected in western Vojvodina, western and eastern Serbia, as well as in basins and river valleys, which in some places may persist throughout the day.

In other areas, the weather will be mostly sunny, especially in high mountain regions.

Winds will be mostly light and variable; in the košava wind area, they will be light to moderate, occasionally strong in southern Banat and the Lower Danube region, blowing from the south and southeast.

Minimum temperatures will range from −3 to 5°C, while maximum temperatures will range from 5 to 10°C. In areas where fog persists longer, it will be colder, around 2°C.

In the evening and overnight, low cloud cover and fog are expected in most regions.

Drizzle expected

On Sunday and Monday, it will be mostly cloudy and foggy across much of the country, with occasional drizzle in eastern Serbia, while sunny intervals are expected only in the high mountains of southern Serbia.

Drizzle

Drizzle (rosulja, fine rain, mist) is a type of precipitation that forms in stratus clouds. It consists of very small droplets that fall gently to the ground, carried by the wind. The droplets are no larger than 0.5 millimeters. Drizzle often reduces visibility and is frequently associated with fog.

 

On Tuesday, fog and low cloud cover are expected mainly in the Timok region, in the western parts of the country, and in basins of southwestern and southern Serbia.

Snow from Wednesday

On Wednesday, cloud cover with rain will reach the southwestern regions in the morning and then spread to other parts of the country. In the mountains, there will also be brief snowfall, while from Thursday precipitation will become less frequent and temperatures will slightly decrease.

Next week, in the košava wind area, moderate to strong southeasterly winds are expected, with occasional gale-force gusts in southern Banat and the Lower Danube region.
