Road workers stage protests in Belgrade The protesting workers are headed toward the government headquarters and they expect the prime minister or the first deputy prime minister to receive them. Union President Sonja Vukanovic said earlier that the protest would be staged because the government had ignored the workers’ requests. “Road workers primarily demand that state repays its debt to road construction companies that at moment totals RSD 9.7bn. We also request that RSD 6bn is secured by the end of the year for some normal maintenance of second-priority roads that are in catastrophic condition,” she explained. (Beta, file) B92 Beta
