Santic was accused of insulting Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on social networks.

According to the explanation of the decision, he in that way "caused huge damage" to East Sarajevo.

Santic posted insulting statements about Vucic on Facebook recently and edited a photo of Vucic to show him wearing a type of white cap traditionally worn by Albanians.

Santic, meanwhile, claims that he has been dismissed unlawfully, and that he has a right to his opinion.

Sarajevo media said the initiative to sack Santic came from RS President Milorad Dodik's SDSN party.
