A statement after the meeting said they discussed "Serbia's EU accession process."

Vučić presented the political and economic reforms the Serbian government intends to carry out and called on Blair to use his connections and reputation to help Serbia on its EU path, the Serbian government's media office said.

Blair "expressed satisfaction over Serbia's progress and voiced strong support to the European integration process and Belgrade's intentions to conduct the necessary reforms," said the statement, and added:

"In this context, he agreed to help the Serbian government."

Vučić said after the meeting that Blair "offered him assurances of his readiness to provide assistance to the Serbian government in the process of European integrations."

"We had an excellent conversation. I asked Blair for specific assistance in the process of European integrations, and I received assurances that he is ready to help the Serbian government with his reputation and contacts," Vučić told Friday's Blic daily.

Vučić presented to Blair the political and economic reforms the Serbian government plans to implement in the coming period, the paper reports, adding that Vučić and Blair agreed to hold similar meetings in the future as well.

Vučić confirmed that, besides European integrations, the two-hour discussions also touched upon other specific matters.

"I also asked for Blair's specific assistance and advice on cabinet formation. He is known for having had the best and the most efficient cabinet while prime minister, which makes his experience in terms of systematization valuable," Vučić said.
