Anti-Semitism Summary overview in EU 2001-2010
On 20 June 2011, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) released its report Anti – Semitism Summary overview of the situation in the European Union 2001 – 2010.
The report provides a comparative analysis of anti-Semitic incidents of governmental and non-governmental statistical data covering the years 2001 to 2009, and, in addition, selected incidents identified through non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and media reports.
The report concludes that there is an increase of anti-Semitic incidents in 2009, though an overall trend for 2001 – 2009 across the EU Member States can’t be drawn, because of a lack of sufficient comparable data, due to various reasons.
