Macedonia might have first swine flu case

A case has appeared in Macedonia which health officials seriously believe could be the country’s first swine flu infection. Macedonian Health Minister Bujar Osmani said that one four year-old boy, which came back from Australia recently with his family, is suspected of having the flu, though nothing will be known for certain until the initial results come back from London. The boy arrived from Australia eight days ago, and was sent to the Infective Clinic in Skopje two days ago. Clinic Director Zvonko Milenkovic said that his health is improving, that he is stable, and the symptoms he was hospitalized for are fading. Osmani said that there are currently 50,000 boxes of flu medicine Tamiflu, "which is sufficient", adding that there will not be any orders placed for more of the medicine used to treated the disease.
