According to the Belgrade media, that document will contain concrete expectations from Belgrade in the process of resolving the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.
According to Vecernje Novosti, in that informal document, which is mentioned in diplomatic circles, Serbia will be informed that it must commit itself to recognizing Kosovo, which will be a kind of second part of the "greeting card" sent to our country on the occasion of marking Statehood Day, by the U.S. President, Joseph Biden.
Clear indication of this joint action will be a joint visit to Serbia in a very short period - of a mediator in the dialogue with Pristina Miroslav Lajcak and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew Palmer, Vecernje Novosti writes.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Serbia and must conclude it desperately needs foreign aid. The EU and the US are the only ones that can provide dependable long term assistance. Unfortunately, the backward thinking of its officials has allowed rampant corruption to continue with devastating results. I must say I am not very optimistic concerning its future.

Is there anyone who actually wants the situation in Kosovo to get resolved or who would benefit from it? Serbia should not want to join the EU at the current time because, with Britain Brexiting and covid-19 vaccinations being abysmally bad in the EU, it's questionable what would one get from joining a sinking ship except for hassle, like Hungary and Poland and many other countries. Blackmailing it to recognize Kosovo in order to join the EU is like directly counterproductive. It would probably be more efficient to tell Serbia it is accepted as an EU country starting tomorrow if it continues not to recognize Kosovo.
I can't see Albanians from Kosovo benefiting from it either, cause I was under the impression they need a stable area outside any proper jurisdiction to run their criminal enterprises? Surely, having a proper state would interfere with this?

It's obvious that the West needs Serbia to legitimize its own amputation because otherwise, "Kosovo*" cannot survive long term. Serbia stands to gain nothing by capitulating. There may be a solution over Kosovo-Metohija, perhaps, but only if Serbia receives something substantial in return. If the West and Albanians are not ready for that conversation, then the best is to hold out longer.

Serbia is only prolonging the INEVITABLE recognition of Kosova to torture itself. With Biden in the WH and Kurti and Osmani in charge of Kosova there is no question of if but only when this recognition will happen.

Is Serbia the one being tortured? Because from where I am sitting, it's Serbia's stamp of approval that is required to make Kosovo into a country. Why does the West or anyone else care whether Serbia recognizes Kosovo, if Kosovo is already a real independent country?
It's obvious that the West needs Serbia to legitimize its own amputation because otherwise, "Kosovo*" cannot survive long term. Serbia stands to gain nothing by capitulating. There may be a solution over Kosovo-Metohija, perhaps, but only if Serbia receives something substantial in return. If the West and Albanians are not ready for that conversation, then the best is to hold out longer.
Vucic's gov't has proven to be effective when it conducts a multilateral foreign policy, as evident with Serbia's impressive vaccine acquisition. The time has perhaps come to have the courage to tell the West no. Whatever the consequences, the West is not in a position to commit military aggression against Serbia in 20201. Nothing they can do now will be nearly as bad.

Inadvertently, you basically made the case for Kosovo’s independence. Namely, you stated the Albanians of Kosovo are not allowed to have Serbian citizenship. I think this say it all. If they are not citizens of Kosovo, yet they were born there, then they must be citizens of another country.

The Serbian Army was defeated before the war started in Kosovo of 1999. There was mass desertion of the young and inexperienced troops. They knew a war with NATO was hopeless and they were correct. The Mothers In Black of Serbia signaled to all: the war would result in a humiliating defeat and would bring only misery to the Serb people.

Is there anyone who actually wants the situation in Kosovo to get resolved or who would benefit from it? Serbia should not want to join the EU at the current time because, with Britain Brexiting and covid-19 vaccinations being abysmally bad in the EU, it's questionable what would one get from joining a sinking ship except for hassle, like Hungary and Poland and many other countries. Blackmailing it to recognize Kosovo in order to join the EU is like directly counterproductive. It would probably be more efficient to tell Serbia it is accepted as an EU country starting tomorrow if it continues not to recognize Kosovo.
I can't see Albanians from Kosovo benefiting from it either, cause I was under the impression they need a stable area outside any proper jurisdiction to run their criminal enterprises? Surely, having a proper state would interfere with this?
The EU apparently stated they don't want any further enlargement, so it suits them as well.
Basically, status quo is ideal for all concerned parties.

A quick reality check for the pathetic and desperate Albanians. Nothing is going to change, the EU will send a note, Belgrade officials will wipe their ass with it and send it back. No amount of pressure is going to force us to recognize Kosovo, if the past 22 years hadn't taught you anything. The only way for anything to change is through war, which Albanians cannot win. Be reminded that we only surrendered in 1999 because of civilian casualties, NATO could not beat the Serbian Army in Kosovo any other way.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Serbia and must conclude it desperately needs foreign aid. The EU and the US are the only ones that can provide dependable long term assistance. Unfortunately, the backward thinking of its officials has allowed rampant corruption to continue with devastating results. I must say I am not very optimistic concerning its future.

You are making a lot of unfounded accusations. If you really cared about the people of Serbia you would not want to represent them as someone that would shame them. Have you ever been to Serbia, it sounds as if you haven’t. You sound very angry and too tightly wound. Furthermore, I did not mention anything about Albanians, Muslim, terrorist or otherwise. Putting up a smoke screen by creating an imaginary boogie man will not help your cause.
