Kosovo Deputy PM Slobodan Petrovic says a draft plan for the forming of a municipality in northern K. Mitrovica will be ready in the beginning of 2012. “A draft plan that we will forward to the government will be ready in the beginning of next year, in January. So far we have had many plans that have been implemented and those that have not been implemented but this will be a concrete plan that will focus on the north but it will have an equal engagement south of the Ibar River as well,” he said. Plan for north ready – Thaci's deputy Petrovic - who comes from a Serb party in the provice that cooperates with the Kosovo Albanian authorities in Pristina - explained that the plan would be in accordance with the Ahtisaari plan which envisaged forming of two municipalities in Kosovska Mitrovica – South and North Mitrovica, with determined municipal lines. The plan also envisaged a joint management of the South and North Mitrovica that will develop a functional cooperation within its jurisdiction and in accordance with the agreements between the municipalities. According to the plan, the joint management will consist of 11 members. Municipalities will elect five members and an international representative appointed by the International Civilian Office would be a chairman.
