Daily Danas writes that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will be addressing the Serbian parliament during his visit to Belgrade. Medvedev will be highlighting some of the key messages of his visit to Belgrade in his address to MPs. "Medvedev to address Serbian parliament" Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic confirmed the news for the daily. Djukic-Dejanovic, who is also the president of the Serbo-Russian Friendship Group, said that Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandr Konuzin, who is also a member of the group, had confirmed on Tuesday night that Medvedev would be visiting the parliament, but could not state at exactly what time. “It is a sure thing that the Russian president will address MPs, after which there will be a cocktail party in the hall of the national parliament. An agreement will also be signed on cooperation between the Russian Duma and the Serbian parliament,” she said, adding that the parliament was completely prepared for Medvedev’s arrival. While most of Serbia’s political officials are keen to meet with Medvedev, it is still not clear who, other than the country’s senior officials, will have the chance to do so. There is speculation that the leaders of all the parliamentary parties will be at the ceremony at the Sava Center, while another rumor suggests that the closest anyone will be able to get to Medvedev is while he is making his parliamentary address.
