Communities and Returns Minister in the Kosovo government Boban Stankovic denies undermining Serbia’s interests. Stankovic, a Serbian national himself, said that he did not think that he had let down Serbia’s interests by accepting a place in the government of the unilaterally proclaimed state of Kosovo. Stankovic said that there were plans to build over 60 flats in Laplje Selo in 2008, 22 families were expected to return to the village of Klobukar near Novo Brdo, while 18 families were expected to return to the village of Sinaje in Istok municipality. "We plan to return Serbs to urban areas as well, such as Potkaljeje in Prizren, where we expect 15 to 20 families to return in the first stage,” Stankovic told KIM Radio from Caglavica. He refuted allegations by his predecessor Slavisa Petkovic of nepotism and financial irregularities within his ministry.
