The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church spoke in Belgrade on Monday.

"We are doing it now, as well. We are doing all that we can to continue defending, and defend Kosovo," said the patriarch.

He was addressing reporters at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU) after President Tomislav Nikolić said he would ask members of this institution for advice on how to solve the problem of Kosovo.

Commenting on this, Patriarch Irinej noted that "the president will move forward, and we will help him".
