Rasim Ljajic says that instead of appreciation after Karadzic's arrest, the EU had punished Serbia by insisting on full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. The comments of the head of Serbia's National Council for cooperation with the Hague came after Monday's statement by the EU foreign ministers, praising Serbia for her efforts but calling for completion of cooperation with this UN war crimes court. Ljajic unsatisfied with EU decision "Monday's decision of the Council of Ministers is hypocrisy to say the least, because they themselves state that Serbia has made progress in cooperation with the tribunal, but there is always the follow-up that Serbia should turn over Ratko Mladic too," Ljajic told journalists in the Belgrade City Assembly, accroding to Beta news agency. Instead of rating Karadzic's arrest as proof of readiness for full cooperation, it came off as if Belgrade could extradite every indictee, including Mladic, if it wants to, he pointed out. He added that, aside from the Netherlands, almost all EU members were aware of the fact that there is political will for full cooperation with the Hague. Serbia's full cooperation was cited as the condition for the unfreeezing of the SAA, when it was singed and immediately suspended in April.
