NIS A total of 25 tons of humanitarian aid sent by the Russian government for use by the Nis-based Serbian-Russian Emergency Situations Center arrived on Tuesday. The cargo was delivered to the southern Serbian city on an Ilyushin Il-76 plane. "We are very pleased about the aid and the fact that with each passing day, the Serbian-Russian humanitarian center in Nis is taking the form we hoped for and that it will be working at full capacity in 2014," Maric said and pointed out that the center will provide action in response to threats recognized in Serbia as emergency situations - fires, floods, mine clearance. Maric said that the center will operate in the territory of Southeastern Europe and in this way help improve stability in the region. Accompanying the shipment was Aleksandr Sergeevich Tomasov, deputy director of the Russian Federation Emergency Situations Ministry International Cooperation Department.
