"Stronger U.S. dollar raises public debt to EUR 23.5bn"

Serbia's public debt on February 18 totaled around EUR 23.508 billion, which is by about EUR 315.5 million more compared to the figures from December 31, 2014.

"Stronger U.S. dollar raises public debt to EUR 23.5bn"

Public debt of the central administration of the Republic of Serbia on February 18 totaled around EUR 22.7 billion while nonguaranteed debt of local government units added up to around EUR 435.9 million, states the data published by the Public Debt Administration.

Vice Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Veselin Pjescic said on Thursday that the public debt share in Serbia's GDP increased by five percent due to the strengthening of the U.S. dollar against other leading world currencies.
