MOSCOW Russia is not convinced by the evidence of the United States and its allies about the Syrian government's the use of chemical weapons. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday during a lecture at a university in Moscow that the evidence presented to Russia previously -" and the latest evidence of our American partners, as well as of the British and the French" - was not in the least credible, AFP reported. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said yesterday that the U.S. had evidence that sarin was used in the attack in Damascus on August 21. Kerry made the remarks a day after U.S. President Bara Obama said he would seek the opinion of the country's Congress to launch attacks against the Syrian regime, which the West and the Syrian opposition accuse of using chemical weapons.
