I think Del Ponte has established herself as someone who makes allegations she cannot prove. The article you cited also said that she cold not say that the govt had not also used Sarin gas. Her remarks about the rebels were suspicions not facts.
The UN commission also said they were surprised by her statements as they had not obtained proof that the gas had been used at all.

the two might not be the same. In the case of Iraq, the news was that sadam had started to rebuild Babylon, which God ny Jeremiah the Prophet, said shall never be rebuilt. Jeremiah 50:39,40and 51:26,62. I suggest GOD was involved in that invasion. but I would also have doubts about the US evidence (that you mentioned).
