Fugitive former Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky, who was convicted of embezzlement earlier this week, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison The Krasnogorsk City Court in Moscow Oblast found Berezovsky guilty of stealing 58 million rubles (USD 1.8mn) from the AvtoVAZ and LogoVAZ automotive companies in the 1990s. Berezovsky has been residing in Great Britain since 2001 and has political asylum there.
