Having had to make an emergency landing in Belgrade yesterday, passengers on the German XL Airways flight finally left for Turkey. The German airplane, a Boeing 737-800, traveling from Frankfurt to Antalya, was forced to make an emergency landing at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla airport on Saturday morning after a fire broke out on the left engine. According to Belgrade airport officials, the situation was dealt with quickly, and none of the passengers were injured. Once the aircraft touched down in Belgrade, all 182 passengers and crew evacuated the aircraft and were taken to the airport building by bus. The fire was quickly put out with a swift intervention by firefighters at the airport.

According to Belgrade airport officials, the situation was dealt with quickly, and none of the passengers were injured.

Once the aircraft touched down in Belgrade, all 182 passengers and crew evacuated the aircraft and were taken to the airport building by bus. They took off for Turkey on a special airplane on Saturday night, according to Radio Television Serbia.
