Veterans' association on hunger strike in Leposavic As Chairman of the Association Assembly Vladimir Radovic told Beta, the hunger strike in Leposavic town hall started last night as a sign of protest after unknown individuals had misappropriated ten flats in a building that was built for them with funds provided by the municipality and the Serbian government’s Coordination Center for Kosovo. According to him, if the illegal tenants do not move out, the strikers will be joined by all 96 members of the Association, including disabled and chronically ill members. This morning, the President and Vice-President of Leposavic municipality Velimir Bojovic and Nebojsa Radulovic visited the strikers and “supported them in their justified demands,” said Radovic, and added that 80 percent of the work on the building had been completed, and that the Association members were ready for an indefinite protest to defend their flats.
