BELGRADE The Coalition of Refugee Associations of Serbia expects the Nikolic-Josipovic meeting to encourage the governments to find concrete solutions to open issues. Coalition chair Miodrag Linta made the statement ahead of the meeting between the presidents of Serbia and Croatia in Belgrade on Wednesday. Refugees expect Serbia-Croatia dialogue "to speed up" "In the previous years, we have listened about Zagreb's declarative readiness to solve these problems, but in practice there was no progress," he told RTS. Linta underlined that six working groups, which are already working on solving the open issues between the two countries, should be strengthened. Linta underscored that he expects Brussels to get involved in this process much more actively and encourage the dialogue between the governments of Serbia and Croatia. Aside for humanitarian issues, which are the most painful ones, he also mentioned other open issues such as denial of housing rights, compensation of damage and disruption of court proceedings against Serbs whose houses have been renovated, but in which they did not reside.
